A.2.9 Managerial staff (Hotels): the definition in brief

It does not cover senior management or anyone responsible for a significant area of one or more hotels, such as a general manager, venue manager, financial controller, HR manager or regional manager, or a manager who reports to one of them.
The manager needs business management training or relevant industry experience, including supervising staff.
Typical examples: assistant manager in a general hotel; duty manager or assistant F&B, rooms division or front office manager in an accommodation hotel.
It does not apply to a manager with voting control of the company, a senior partner or partner with at least 49%, or their close family.
